Registration is now open for the POWA fall gathering in Ocean City, Md. Activities will run from Thursday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 3.

Spring Conference is in the books

POWA's Spring Conference was held May 19-22 in Wellsboro, PA. Read more about the weekend with Supporting Member Representative Connie Yingling's report.

Shotgun Sports seeks submissions

Shotgun Sports is thinking ahead to the 2011 Spring/Summer schedule and wants to remind you to get your manuscripts in soon to get on that schedule. Spring and summer are hot clay-target competition times, and the magazine will be looking for trap, skeet and sporting clays articles filled with tips to help its readers excel in these great sports.

In addition, “technical” articles on things like shooting glasses, forcing cones, barrel beads, lubricating shotguns, cleaning shotguns, hearing protection and exercises to improve shooting vision are always popular. Other questions readers often ask include: What are the Olympic sports like?; How do you get involved in them?; How can I make my old gun new again?; What are the “options” at trap shoots and how do I get into them?; Is there first-aid for breakdown emergencies (like repair kits and parts, tools, backup guns, choke fixes, barrel fixes, etc).
